Description

An eye-catching rectangular plate with stripes in rainbow iridescent on black glass separated by sea blue transparent glass.  This piece has the advantage of looking very different depending on the surface it is set on.  If it is placed on white as in the main photograph then the sea blue shows as blue, but if it is put on a dark background as in the second photograph then the blue appears darker and the iridescent sings out more. Two looks from the one piece! The precision of the stripes has been set off by the cold-worked straight edges of the plate.  This piece would look lovely on a sideboard or table, equally it can also be used to serve snacks, biscuits, sweets or similar.

The plate is 27cm by 14cm and is 5cm deep from the base to the tip of the corners.

To care for this plate please do not use a knife or metal on it as over time that will scratch the surface as they would do any glass or glazed item.  It is not dishwasher proof,  handwashing is fine.  Similarly it is not oven or freezer proof, and obviously because it is glass care needs to be taken not to drop it!
